Wipptal: the valleys of Schmirn and Val
In the fork of these two small valleys, located in Wipptal, in the Austrian Tyrol, near the Brenner Pass, lies the town of St. Yodok. This is one of the few places in the Alps that has retained its natural character, almost undisturbed by human activity. St. Jodok is Bergsteigerdorf, a village belonging to a program aimed at preserving such places in the Alps. There are no ski resorts and many other tourist amenities in Schmirntal and Valsertal. There are small and quiet hotels, mountain inns serving only local specialties and, of course, wildlife. It’s an ideal place for skydiving trips. We checked. You can find our coverage of the place at 17. OM number. In the meantime, check out a short video of one of the routes we walked in the.
